The Tamarack’s Going Gold

Looking across the muskeg valley is a lot more pleasant this time of year when the Tamarack begins the transformation of losing its needles for the winter. It possesses a strange hybrid of coniferous (cone-bearing) and decidious traits since it is the only needle bearing tree to shed during Autumn. Going from green to gold, it is always a pleasant site!

Enjoy!
