Just chirpin in to say that I have stuck to my guns and haven’t smoked any dope for over 48 days, and only got drunk a few times during that period. After taking some critical distance to reflect on my rehab sessions, I am now going to try and cut out alcohol again, and maintain my abstinence.
Some of my other vices that I have been falling victim to are anime porn. Wierd hey? I wonder if this is a side effect of not being on drugs, or some other latent suggestion from my phone as it keeps on sending my strange anime porn videos. Regardless, I am fascinated by these things, and going to do my best to stay away from them as well.
Other than that, the winter is going quite well and the weather has been highly cooperative. This recent blast of spring weather has packed the snow, making it easier to walk while out collecting wood, rather than having to wade through knee-deep drifts, and I am very thankful for that, as well as the my wood stove that has been keeping quite secure with its new chimney pipe.
I have been working on a few new leads and prospects for work, as well as keeping things going on my other partner sites, and recently got my taxes done. Must say that I didn’t make very much cash last year, and this year so far isn’t much better, but I have some good credit options and lots of investments that I am working on, as well as some secondary income options that may turn into good revenue streams; thus, I can’t complain.
Just taking a moment to reflect on my near-death experience on March 22, 2009 when I was admitted to the hospital and lifted by STARS ambulance when I got in my car accident / suicide, and am praising Jesus for saving my life! 7 years later and my body has been amazing and I have lived those years as full as possible.
Not sure what my summer is looking like as far as work, since some of my regular contracts like Teaching may not be on the go, so if that is the case, then I may go into prospecting for gold a little more ardently, and setup a camp alongside the river and disconnect for a few weeks since I wont have to constantly tend to the students and manage the classroom. Taking a break like that may be awesome, or I may have a new job, so it is tough to say at this point. Currently, I am looking forward to Spring, and increased daylight, as I am still having to rely on my solar panels only part-time, and generator part-time, so that will be a nice change of pace.
Once I get some of my financing going, I will likely go back to Lethbridge and get some of my remaining stuff that I have in a storage unit, sometime before April, and then consider whether I am going to do another semester or not. At the moment, things are up in the air, and just going to have to wait and see how things go. Some of the reasons why I am hesitant is due to some recent vehicle troubles I had where I had some costly repairs to take care of, and not sure if things are still 100%, and will have some insurance payments coming up in May, so have plenty of budgeting to do.
Anyway, hope everyone is having fun!
