It is with a little sadness that I report that I have been cutoff from my Fashion Blog for over 8 months, and feel that it would be great to get things going on that site again, and was a ton of work to write and produce, and hoping my Fashion Sponsors will hire meContinue reading “Reflecting on My Fashion Blog”
Hey Everyone! My school schedule is sure a lot more busy than my freelancing / trapping schedule, (well, it you don’t count all the work I did building my cabin), and if nothing else it is a brand new experience, and wholly enlightening in many ways. I must say I grabbed the bull by theContinue reading “October Updates – Busy As Ever!”

Also, really fond of my teachers, and feel that they are totally world-class and just pushing the limits on everything. SportsContinue reading “Getting re-education going”

You were a Uncle that I had to chance to getContinue reading “Eulogy For Uncle Paul”
Canada is finally starting to get some attention from the World about its passion for soccer, and I am hoping that the Government will step up and mint a trophy for the Soccer Association so we can have our own international “Canada Cup” tournament!!!
Having a nice inside day to let my body catchup on the extreme conditioning I have been putting it through! As much conditioning I have been doing, I am not noticing much for great results, however, my body does seem a little more toned, and if nothing else, I was surprised at my endurance toContinue reading “Rainy Day Catchup”
One of nature’s mysteries: The Glow Bug. How do their tails produce light? Spidey doesn’t seem to mind the light during the web project.
Or a breeding position? Regardless, the colors were great!
Nice to see some color showing from the Alberta Wildrose, which produces great tasting rose hips that are high in vitamin c, and a nice looking plant.
The spot where I touched the moth isnt as waterproof as the other wings, but the moisture beads, adding a wet element to this photo.
In this month’s NGM we see the 4eyed jumping spider closeup, but this one also has 2 eyes on the back of its head. Different breed?
Also a different color, diamond-pattern, and more elongated/swollen abdomen. Could it be a female?
Put a couch in my "cool zone"
This dragonfly blends with the orange fungi found on poplar trees.
Ever wonder what that fuzz floating in the air is? One possibility is Poplar Fluff, which this tree has no problems producing in large amounts. This a later seeder than most of the other Poplars, but it still seems to have a good supply. Anyone looking for Heirloom Poplar seed? Please inquire. I now haveContinue reading “Poplar Fluff Seed”
A gooseberry plant has flowers, making it a hub for bees recently. JEOPARDY TRIVIA CATEGORY: WHAT ANIMAL IS SHOWN HERE FOR 200. ANSWER: WHAT IS THE BEE’S KNEES?
Looks like this weasel needed some rice to improve its diet, and has been around the place for approx. 3 months, and is an excellent Mouser.
Alberta harbours some great shroom hunting in mixed deciduous. A good sign of Early Morels are winterized rabbit droppings, rotten leaves, or shady mossy areas on deadfall. Looking forward to a great mushroom season!
You can see the one block has a removeable core.
My collectiin of poplar vore wood is vast. Great retirrment gifts! Seasoned and green cores or sheaths/plant holders. Rob
For the past week I have been observing the furry caterpillar, of which some of you may have seen last week, and during the last two days it was sitting on my pickaxe and today I see it has left behind a small "pelt" of caterpillar hair! Wow! You can see the caterpillar in itsContinue reading “Unbelievable – Caterpillar sheds its fur.”
Wishing all the mother’s a sunny day.
Moonwatching, bring a coat. Its chiily!
Be careful on this full moon night as the monsters are on the prowl! Protect yourself from Monsters by keeping quiet, reading, and generally shying away from large, ignorant, boisterous crowds who may be intoxicated or consuming alcohol, and try and ignore any hazardous people who are mean, overbearing, abusive, and threatening.

A little red-head was crawling along. Third one I saw of this species in the last cpl days….
Just starting to get enough for some new highlighters hoping to get a tax return and buy some bitcoin. Otherwise, started teaching again and will be exploring my arts and crafts, especially potential clay pots and wooden pack frames and planters and more sophisticated gold traps to see if I can separate clay from gold.Continue reading “My new art”
Should havrle the trailer ready by June to hit the hills looking for gold. Any takers? 🙂
What a joy! Hoping to get some big ears of corn this year. Planted them mostly rather than sunflowers this year cuz they are kind of like sunflowers, but different. Stay tuned for my "corn heart" feature, which may produce some nice husks hopefully. Other things include lettuce and some potatoes in some new locationsContinue reading “My first corn plant appears!”
Over 90% of the annual winter ice has moved on, making the river ready for boating and other sports, but be careful of ice that may be builtup in shady zones. A nice 420 day in Athabasca.
